L’Île-d’Houat

Island of Houat: Direct crossing July and August – 45 mins from Port Navalo – 2 km from Arzon

Houat is a fishing island. Colourful boats and fish traps are crammed onto the docks, there are around 30 fishing families left who sell off sea bass, sea bream, spider crabs and lobster at the Quiberon fish markets…

Nature rules here: discover Europe’s most beautiful beaches, generous horizons of fine, golden sand that gently slopes down into the turquoise water. The island is visited solely by walking or cycling around and you have the option of having a picnic there. Our hotel can prepare a picnic for you for the day. Hikes along the coastal paths, botanical strolls along the dunes (with sand pinks, blue thistles, ophrys apifera, shore docks, sea daffodils…). The coast is breathtakingly beautiful!
